Sol Duc trip 2016

Our clients make an annual trek to Sol Duc hot springs on the Olympic Peninsula.  They enjoy food, fun and fellowship with the staff that travel with them.   Special wheelchairs are provided to clients that need adaptive equipment so they can enjoy the hot springs pools along with our clients who walk.  Splish splash!

Bowling in Edmonds! 2016

Who doesn’t love to hit the lanes and bowl a few?  Obviously our residents enjoy it as much as anyone…  We have every level of bowler including Colene has her own ball and bowling shoes.   Stephen just likes to watch the heroics of the others.   Everyone has a great time and we would like to say a special thank you to “Full Moon Thai” for being terrific hosts for our lunch!

gardening summer 2016

The residents at the Greenwood Home participate in organic gardening!  In fact, the sunflower on our front page is a nine foot sunflower grown here by our residents.  With a little assistance and encouragement, our residents have managed to grow green beans, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, squash, roses, herbs and even catnip for Doug’s cat Mystery.  Assisting the residents to plant and harvest the garden is one way we enjoy our Seattle sunshine!
