Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2017, a volunteer work team organized by a parent of a Greenwood Home resident gathered to clean up the Greenwood grounds and spread mulch to beautify garden areas. Volunteers included family, friends, and employees. Funding for the mulch for this project was secured from grant monies secured from Thrivent Financial’s “Action Team” program as well as from Greenwood sources. Volunteers raked, hoed, and hauled debris. No Seattle rain fell during the project and a good time was had by all!
Our clients make an annual trek to Sol Duc hot springs on the Olympic Peninsula. They enjoy food, fun and fellowship with the staff that travel with them. Special wheelchairs are provided to clients that need adaptive equipment so they can enjoy the hot springs pools along with our clients who walk. Splish splash!
